An even better question would be why do people feel the need to harm others at all? Why does anyone feel the need to consume an animal or its secretions? Why does anyone feel the need when accessible supermarkets exist full of cruelty-free plant-based foods? Whether its hunting, going to the zoo, breeding dogs, or consuming animals… its all the same: oppression, slavery, exploitation, and abuse. Why does society feel the need to take part in any of it?
